offer our clients several different programs to help them with their search,
but all of them start from the same premise:
you must stand out from the crowd.
So all of our offerings involve the development of branding which
evolves from the development of your personal informational statement, which
may be a resume, a personal profile or some other document that effectively
tells your story.
Once you have your brand, you can move on to learn specific skills, develop particular materials, be mentored or coached
We help our clients define themselves and their career objectives clearly and persuasively. We help them develop a coordinated plan to find their next position or career. We help them present themselves effectively in face-to-face, in written communications and on the telephone.
In today's environment there are no silver bullets to finding a new job, but there are approaches to finding new opportunities, getting noticed and being considered for those opportunities, and ultimately, successfully interviewing and "closing the deal". For people approaching transition, there are strategies that can result in substantially enhanced separation benefits. Here's how we help:
The Job Search. We help you create a ressume that not only effectively communicates your skills and experience, but also attracts the attention of the audience to which it is directed. Candidates with excellent resumes abound; the key is to make your resume the one that stands out--so that you stand out.
Building Networking Skills. We help build networking skills to effectively communicate your message to the right audience. Never has the old adage been truer: it's not what you know, it's who you know. We help you get to know more people who can help you. We also work with you to develop an effective elevator speech to present yourself.
Interviewing Skills. Many of our clients haven't interviewed in many years and, like anything else, achieving a good result in an interview requires focused and constructive practice. We provide in-depth interview training, focusing on personal interaction skills, message presentation and developing effective responses to challenging questions. We believe that a key to interview success is confidence--and preparation is the essential element in building confidence.
Transition Planning. We help prepare our clients for a potential lay-off or reduction in the work force and help them to formula an effective response to whatever separation benefits may be offered. All too often, the employer's strategy is to surprise employees with the news of a lay-off and catch them off guard, which frequently results in the employee being unprepared for the appropriate response. Consequently, employees react emotionally instead of thoughtfully, which is usually to the employer's, not the employee's, benefit. This can result in reduced separation benefits. With planning and coaching, our clients are more sensitive to the signs of impending lay-offs and they are able to prepare appropriate responses which enable them to achieve materially better separation benefits.
